Rodney Keith Arnold

July 3, 1957 — July 4, 2018

Rodney Keith Arnold, 61, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the Heartford House under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Rodney was born July 3, 1957 in Panama City, FL to Dona Pruden Arnold and the late Billy J. Arnold. He was a graduate of Daviess County High School and retired from Aleris in June 2014 after 35 years of dedicated service. Rodney was a Christian and a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church. He was a kind, caring man. Rodney was dedicated to his family and was a loving father, husband, son brother, and friend. He was the kind of person you couldn't help but like after meeting him. Rodney was a sweet and thoughtful man with a heart of gold and was loyal and giving to his many friends. He could comfort those who were hurting without even speaking. As an avid NFL fan, Rodney could give you statistics for any player at any time, especially the Green Bay Packers. He could keep you in stiches with his uniquely self-coined phrases. His boisterous laugh was unforgettable. We are so grateful for the many happy memories he left for us to cherish.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Billy J. Arnold; his brother, Kevin Arnold;
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Willette Arnold of Owensboro; his mother, Dona Arnold of Owensboro; his children, Christy Arnold of Orlando, FL and Billy Keith Eff (Kenneth) of Toledo, OH; his sisters, Susan Arnold of Pensacola, FL and Lori Boyd (Stephen) of Owensboro; his nephew, Matthew Arnold (Kelly) of Pensacola, FL; his niece, Stephanie Melendez (Carlos) of Owensboro; his great nephew, Jayden Franklin; his great niece, Brooklyn Moorman; his step-daughters, Amanda Willette of Louisville, KY and Jennifer Willette of Corpus Christi, TX; other family including aunts, an uncle, cousins and many friends he loved very much.
