Robert C. Zetty

Robert C. Zetty, Sr, 65, of Owensboro passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Heartford House. He was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to the late Donald E. Zetty, Sr. and Dorothy Caudill Zetty.

Mr. Zetty served as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam War.

Robert retired from Ford Motor Co and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Michigan. He occasionally joined his wife in attending Riverside Baptist Church. Robert was a very regular customer of Wal Mart and Sam's Club where he became friends with many of the employees. He was a generous and loved man who enjoyed coin collecting and hosting regular family reunions.

Robert was preceded in death by a son, Michael John Zetty in 2008; a sister, Mildred Engler; and brothers, Tom and Don Zetty, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Zetty; daughters, Barbara Irene Zetty Kamin (Tom) of Suisun City, California and Donna Marie Zetty Kern (Ed) of Stratford, Virginia; a son, Bob Zetty, Jr.(Melissa) of Avon, Indiana; grandchildren, Gaelan Kamin, Zachary and Joshua Kern, Olivia and Camden Zetty, and Jacob and Tyler Zetty; daughter-in-law, Melanie Zetty of Goodrich, MI; an uncle, Paul Caudill of Athens, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at Noon on Sunday, April 6 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Dale Rouse will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Sunday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
