Robert Henry Wimsatt passed on 4 May 2008 at his residence. He was born in Owensboro, Ky., September 5, 1957 to Robert H. Wimsatt and Willie Mae Wimsatt.
He took great pride and joy in making sure his mother was taken care of. His generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to his family and friends. He was known affectionately as "Pee-Wee" or "Uncle Pee-Wee". He was a man who would do anything for anybody if he could. He was well respected and loved; his memories will be forever cherished by everyone. Throughout his life, he gave his time and talents, generously and enthusiastically, to all who encountered his presence. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Wimsatt.
Survivors include his mother, Willie Mae Wimsatt; a daughter, Tiffany Riley; a son, Robert H. Wimsatt Jr.; a grandson Willie Riley all of Owensboro, Ky.; three brothers Charles Howell (Paulette) and John A. Winstead Sr. (Gloria) and Ronnie Johnson all of Owensboro, Ky.; four sisters Loretta Stafford (Jewell) of Madisonville, Ky., and Joanna Miller (Rudell) and Anna Elizabeth Young both of Owensboro, Ky., and Sharon Thomas (Carl) of Shelbyville, Ky.; an uncle John Watson (Betty) of Indianapolis, In.; two aunts Mildred Wimsatt of Indianapolis, In., and Louise Hagan of Owensboro, Ky.; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services: 12 p.m., Friday, 9 May 2008, at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro, with Rev. Ronald Holmes of Asbury United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 9 to 11:30 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
