Robert "Dink" Wilkey

Robert "Dink" Wilkey, 62, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, July 15 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Wilkey was born April 14, 1955 in Daviess County to the late Bobby and Shirley Ford Wilkey. Dink was a laid-back man with a big heart who loved playing practical jokes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, watching wrestling, but most of all, swimming with his grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years, Vickie Leathem Wilkey; daughters, Nikki Wilkey and fiancé Darrick O'Bryan and Misty Curtis and husband Lonnie; son, Rob Wilkey all of Owensboro; grandchildren, D.J. and fiancé Driana, Mackenzie, Dustin, Nick, Hunter, and Hannah; step grandson, Gabriel; brothers, Stephen Wilkey, Terry Wilkey and his wife Linda, and David Wilkey; sisters, Drima Lindsey and husband Curtis and Wanda Brown; numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great.

The service will be noon Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Sue Gates officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday after 10:00 AM.
