Robert Stuart

Robert "Bobby" Stuart, Jr., 87, of Owensboro, died Sunday, August 1, 2010, at the Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 5, 1922 to the late Robert and Ruth Mosley Stuart in Daviess County. As a second generation dairy farmer, he helped found Stuartvale Farms, which bottled and processed milk that was delivered locally in Daviess County. He was recognized state wide by his peers for his accomplishments in the dairy and farming industry, and was active in and held numerous offices in many local farm and dairy organizations. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pearl Stuart on April 18, 2005.

Survivors include his daughters, Janice Hayden and her husband, Tommy, Sue Napper and her husband, Stewart, his son, Robert Stuart and his wife, Ann all of Owensboro; five grandchildren, Ron Blair DeWaal, and his spouse, Marco, Michelle Westerfield and her husband, Wayland, Madison Stuart, Drew Napper, Kelsey Napper and Catherine Sparks; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Blair, Ashley and Alicia Westerfield; and one great-great-grandson, Joshua Blair; three brothers, James W. Stuart of Owensboro, Thomas M. Stuart and his wife, Nancy of Owensboro, and Alexander Stuart of Phoenix, AZ.

Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, and after 9:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
