Robert C. Sprankle

Robert "Robbie" Sprankle, 54, of Owensboro passed away, Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born December 29, 1956 in the Canal Zone, Panama, he did remodeling work and had worked at Barton Brands, and was a member of Thruston United Methodist Church. Mr. Sprankle was an avid UK fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Dilts Sprankle.

Surviving is his wife of 6 years, Nora Vickers Sprankle; a son, Warren Sprankle; step-children, Eric (Jessica) Vickers and Ashley Vickers; his mother, Wandafa Stone Sprankle (Pete Hedden); grandchildren, Cameron and Brooklyn Vickers; a brother, Corky (Karen) Sprankle of Owensboro; sisters, Terry (Bob) Riley of Fordsville, Linda Rivera of Dallas, TX and Lillian Maley of Richardson, TX; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friends, Steve Payne of Louisville and Chris Payne and Randy Rickard of Owensboro.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be private.
