Robert Wyndell Spud Shutt, 67, of 5104 Jones Road, Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2005 at his home. He was born in Muhlenburg Co., Ky. to the late Connie D. & Ruby Atkison Shutt. He was retired after 38 years with Modern Supply Co. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Thruston United Methodist Church. He enjoyed all sports, reading, and military history. He also had been a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for the past 20 years. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ailene Shutt, and two brothers, his twin, Charles Shutt and J. D. Shutt.
Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Tommy Bunner Shutt, a son, John Shutt of Lexington, Ky., two daughters, Jane and her husband Colburn Clark, and Meg Shutt, all of Owensboro, a granddaughter, Campbell Clark and a grandson, Thomas Wilkey, two brothers, John L. & wife Ellie Shutt of Greenville, and Terry & his wife Doris Shutt of Owensboro, three sisters, Martha DeArmond and Kay Shutt, both of Greenville, and Doris Smith of Philpot, and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 4, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 12:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
