Robert E. Richeson

Robert E. Shorty Richeson, 87 of Owensboro, passed away Friday, August 11, 2006. He was born in Ohio County to the late Hugh and Camilla Kirk Richeson. He was a retired homebuilder and a member of Sorgho Baptist Church, where he attended the mens Sunday school class. Everyone knew him for the homes he built, the tomatoes he grew and his enjoyment for fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mildred Mae Millie on July 22, 2006; a son, Bill Richeson in December 1989; a daughter, Brenda Richeson in November 1983; a granddaughter, Stacy Richeson in December 1966; and a great-grandson, Brandon Mason in May 2005.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Patsy and Challen Mason, Shelia and Bill Castlen and Carolyn and Alan Higdon all of Owensboro; two sons and their wives; Jerry and Charlotte Richeson of Owensboro and Larry and Bernice Richeson of Utica; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and two brothers; Everett Richeson and Randall Richeson.
Services are at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home chapel with a private burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. today and after 12 p.m. Monday.
