Robert E. Rice

Robert E. "Bobby" Rice, 71, of Reed, died May 29, 2013 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Bobby was born June 3, 1941 in Fordsville to the late Wilbur and Gladys Newton Rice. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the Army, a retired Local 561 Laborer's Union employee, a Member of Stanley Masonic Lodge # 878, and a member of the McLean County Fish & Game Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his family.

Bobby was preceded in death also by a daughter, Peggy Hicks and brothers, Arthur Dwayne and Jessie Lee Rice.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Teresa Rice; children, Dwayne (Peggy) Rice of Owensboro, Stacey (Lawrence) Blincoe of Versailles, and Dolores (Robert) Harrison of Stanley; a son-in-law, Frank Hicks of Owensboro; grandchildren, Brittany Rice Weems, Brandy Miles, Courtney Hicks Najdek, Travis Hicks, Wil Blincoe, Robert Rice, Amber Harrison, Jeremy Blincoe, and Emily Harrison; great grandchildren, Madison Rice, Jay Talbott, Jakiya Talbott, Hayden Roberts, Clifton Roberts, and Ava Grace Harrison; siblings, Billy (Carol) Rice, Raymond (Barb) Rice, Rosie (Jack) Starks, Jim (Debbie) Rice, Bonnie (Jim) Reynolds, and Roger (Rita) Rice; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Bro. Denton Hawkins officiating and Richard Beck speaking. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 P.M. Friday and 10- Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
