Robert Alton Puckett

Robert Rob Alton Puckett, II, 43, of Hoover, Alabama (formerly of Owensboro), died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at his home. Born in Bowling Green, he was the Executive Director of the Thrifty Nickel Publication in Birmingham, Alabama. Rob was the 1978 salutatorian of Owensboro High and a 1982 graduate (with honors) from Indiana University. He loved animals and was very active in fund raising and volunteering for the Birmingham Humane Society and was on the Board of Directors for the Auntie Litter Campaign in Alabama and was active with Kid One. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Alton Puckett in May of 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Erika Swanson Puckett; his mother Jacqueline JackieButler Smith , and step-father, Ted Smith of Owensboro; two brothers, Dr. Gregory Puckett of Vine Grove, KY and Joseph T. ''Jay'' Smith of Owensboro; a sister, Beverly Bennett of Vine Grove, KY; and two nephews, Deker Jordan Puckett and Gregory Blade Puckett both of Vine Grove.

A memorial service will be at Glenn Funeral Home at 1 P.M. Saturday, April 10, 2004. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
