Robert James Niles, 76, of Owensboro died Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in New Jersey on September 7, 1938, served in the United States Air Force, and had worked as a youth care specialist at River Valley Behavioral Health where all the children there loved him and called him Papaw. He had a great love of art and especially enjoyed painting and sculpture. Robert was active with the Owensboro Art Guild.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Tuttle-Cabell (George) of Owensboro; sons, Andy Doolin and David Tuttle of Slidell, LA; and granddaughters, Siera Tuttle, Lydiah Tuttle, Elise Tuttle, Grace Tuttle, and Illeanna Lopez.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Adams Village Community Center, 519 Dieterle Drive.
