Robert Glenn Morrison

Robert Glenn ''Bob'' Morrison, Sr., 78, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Owensboro and was an avid golfer, a member of Hillcrest Golf Association and a diehard Atlanta Braves fan. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He retired from Life of Georgia Insurance Co. in 1988 after 28 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane E. Morrison, in 1990; his parents, John D. and Alberta Morrison; and a brother, John D. Morrison, Jr.

Surviving are a son and his wife, Glenn and Susan Morrison, Jr. of Owensboro; three daughters and their husbands, Pamela and Kenny Slagle of Louisville and Mary and Jeff Miller and Sherry and Totsie Fulkerson, all of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, Melissa and Meredith Morrison, Vanessa Slagle, Ryan and Taylor Miller and Matt, Nick and Chase Simon; and a brother Dwayne and his wife, Patricia Morrison, of Atlanta.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home chapel, with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 8:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
