Robert Daniel Moredock, 74, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was son of the late Edward and Clara Mae Moredock. Robert was born in Owensboro and graduated from Western High School.
He most recently worked as the "office man" at Ledd's Clean Up Shop at Parrish and Walnut Streets. Robert retired from National Southwire Aluminum in 1999 after 30 years of perfect attendance. For many years he served as band manager for the band, Points of Pleasure. Robert also served as an umpire for Western Bambino during the 80's and 90's. He was a people person and will be missed by many.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Edna Maxine Adams.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Connie Moredock; daughters, Regina Moredock of Owensboro, Dr. Rebecca Mueller (Matt) of Greenfield, IN; step-daughters, Brandee Payne and Dominique Maddox; step-sons, Ontario Maddox and Jason Maddox; 12 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Paris, Keanu, Zaire, Asenath, Majesty, Masaan, Meziah, Marshall, Alexandria, Jaihana and Sophia; 3 great grandchildren, all of Owensboro; a sister, Eula Jean Moredock of Detroit, MI; a mother-in-law, Larissa Lewis of Owensboro; several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and friends.
The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM Monday, March 23 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Larry L. Bidwell will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 PM and Monday after 11 AM at the funeral home.
