Robert L. Millay

Robert L. Millay, 64, of 8741 Sauer Road, Owensboro, died Monday September 10, 2001 at his home. He was born July 27, 1937 in Daviess County, Kentucky the son of the Joseph Benjamin and Anna Louise Payne Millay.

He was a retired electrician with Local 1701. He was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Electrical Union Local # 1701.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joann Schartung Millay; three sons, Robert Anthony Tony Millay and Jeffery Allen Millay both of Owensboro, and Michael Steven Millay of Philpot; one daughter, Angela Millay Park of Kennesaw, GA; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Magdalen Knott and Nannie Mae Aull, both of Philpot and Blanche M. Werne of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday September 12, 2001 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, officiated by Father Stan Puryear, Father Richard Powers and Father Pike Powell. Burial will follow in St. Peter Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday September 11, 2001 and after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Prayers will be said at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
