Robert L. "Duck" Martin

Robert L. "Duck" Martin, Sr., 63, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017 at his home. He was born in Greenville, Kentucky to the late Finis and Anna Louise Martin.
Robert was a graduate of Owensboro Catholic High where he was a baseball standout. Duck owned and operated Squeaky Clean Window Care for nearly forty years. He loved sports, particularly baseball, and umpired little league for several years. Robert attended Christ Community and Ebeneezer Baptist Churches. He loved spending time with family, especially his many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Martin and "Momma Blanche".
Robert is survived by thirteen children, Nick Martin, Alonzo McRath, Michael Drake, Chad Drake, Aaron King, Adrian Mundy, Starr Allen, Kathleen Hogg, Angela Martin, Dominic Martin, Robert L. Martin, Jr., Belita Rodgers, Tiffany Trejo; forty-four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Schkilla, Andrea and Sandy Martin and Tamika Johnson; three brothers, Lawrence Jefferson and his wife, Joyce, Herman Tollivar and Larry Leachman and his wife, Gail; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, July 11 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Clarence Tapp will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 2 until 8 PM and Tuesday after 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Royal Cemetery near Greenville.
