Robert R. Jarvis, 75, of Utica, KY, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Born in Chicago, IL, on October 31, 1929, he was a real estate agent for Century 21, an active member of the Lions Club, had served as a police commissioner for both Darien and Woodridge, Illinois, and was a Korean War veteran receiving two service medals and 3 bronze campaign stars. He was also a board member for the Elizabeth Munday Center.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Linda A. Jarvis; three sons, Robert Jarvis, Richard Jarvis, and James Jarvis all of Illinois; one daughter, Susan Haddick of Illinois; one step-son, Christopher Lord of Owensboro; one step-daughter, Shannon Gallatin of New York; seven grandchildren, Bobby, Mino, Patrick, Gina, Joshua, Reagan and Bret; three brothers, Kenneth Jarvis, Eugene Jarvis, and William Jarvis all of Illinois; and two sisters, Dorothy Zerbe and Gaynell McDougle both of Illinois.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Glenn Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 until 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will be in the Hanson City Cemetery.
