Robert M. Hale

Robert M. Hale, 89, passed away November 14, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born October 29, 1927 in Daviess County to the late R.E. and Abigail Wallace Hale. Bob, also referred to as Maurice during his high school years, was a graduate of Daviess County High School where he played basketball. Bob went on to be a History Major at WKU where he also excelled in basketball. He then worked in sales at Green River Steel, where he retired. He was preceded in death by all his siblings.

Surviving family members are his wife, Billie Hale; Daughters, Karyn (David) Gardner and Diana (Nick) Jensen; grandchildren, Adam Young and Ben Young; three great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be Noon, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the KWC Men's Basketball Program. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
