Robert "Bob" Goetz

Robert Louis "Bob" Goetz, 72, of Philpot, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born March 27, 1944, Bob was the son of the late Edward and Lucille Simon Goetz, was a farmer, and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Sunset Cruisers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Goetz and a sister, Mary Ann Blandford.

Surviving is his wife of 48 years, Patricia Crowe Goetz; a son, Scott Goetz of Philpot; and daughters, Kerri ( Donald) Hofmann and Jill (Andy) Baych of Philpot; grandchildren, Tate Smith, Madison Smith, Kendal Goetz, Kaylee Goetz and Zoey Baych; brothers, Eddie (Suzanne) Goetz of Florida, Tom (Mary Beth) Goetz and Jerry (Lucy) Goetz of Owensboro; and a sister, Doris (Doug) Clark of Owensboro.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. on Tuesday and after 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where there will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Brown Cancer Center or to Bill Boards for Life (Catholics for Children).
