Robert Lee Foster Sr., 73, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, February 13, 2005 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Daviess County on June 11, 1931, Mr. Foster was the son of the late William A. and Anna Mae Clark Foster. He was retired from the Green Coal Company where he was a truck driver and was a member of the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Elizabeth Postiglione.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cora Haire Foster; a son, Robert Lee Foster, Jr. of Owensboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Jeff Schroader and Bobbie Jean and Allen Coffman both of Owensboro; 7 grandchildren, Karen (and Rob) Pierce, Nancy Lyons, Lydia Schroader, Daniel Alexander, Courtney Coffman and Jade Coffman all of Owensboro, and Eric Alexander of Louisville; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, William T. Foster and James R. Foster both of Owensboro; and two sisters, Cora Mae Tucker and Lena Pearl Probus both of Owensboro.
Funeral services are 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 16, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday and after 10 A.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
