Robert Lee Daily

Robert Lee Daily Sr. 72, of Maceo, died August 15, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. He was born September 15, 1940 in Owensboro, to the late Claude and Melville Newcom Daily. Robert retired from Whirlpool with over 35 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. Robert loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. He was a Corvette enthusiast, enjoyed NASCAR racing, auto auctions, country music and caring for his home.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Hamilton Daily; sons, Steve and Robert Daily Jr. and a brother, Houston Daily.

Surviving are his daughters, Janet Daily of Evansville, IN; Sandy (John) Daugherty and Cindy (David) Huston all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Brandon, Morgan and Camille Anderson; Ricky and Dexter Payne and Amanda Phelps; Haley and Matthew Huston; and Joseph Daily; great grandchildren, Ava Kate Anderson and Trinity Boling; Campbell and Stella Payne; Reagan and Maggie Phelps; Landon and Lexie Daily; brother, Jim (Brenda) Daily; sisters, Henrietta (James) Thomson and Ella Mae (Ray) Peay all of Owensboro.

Services will be 2 P.M. Monday, August 19, 2013 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory with Bro. Tim Hall presiding. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 P.M. Sunday, August 18, 2013 and Noon to 2 P.M. on the day of service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Courageous Kids in honor of his grandson Matthew Huston. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
