Robert William "Bobby" Clark, 78, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his home. He was born January 25, 1938 in Cleveland, OH to the late Roy W. and Mary Alice Jones Clark. He loved, cherished, and honored his Catholic faith and loved dearly his family, friends, and his country. He had served in the Naval Reserves and for four years in the United States Air Force. Bobby was retired from the United States Postal Service after 42 years having served as postmaster in Beaver Dam and Calhoun and as a supervisor in Owensboro. He graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School and Brescia College and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Albert Clark.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Dorothy L. "Dotty" Clark, his children, Cathy Clark of Muncie, IN, David Clark and wife Cyndi of Nashville, TN, Laura Clark of Nashville, Juli Clark of Owensboro, favorite daughter, Simmone Siner of Nashville, honorary daughters, Joan Perry of Owensboro and Susan Floyd of Nashville, four grandchildren whom he loved very much, Sarah D. Clark, Steffan A. Clark, Jonah N. Clark, and Charlie R. Clark, two sisters, Jean Osborne of Santa Ana, CA and Gloria Parrish of Huntington Beach, CA, sisters-in-law, Susie Bosley, Moggie Riney and husband Frank, and Theresa Crawford and husband Jim, all of Owensboro, brothers-in-law, Tom Monarch and wife Wanda of Frankfort and Bill Monarch "Brother Gabriel" of St. John of God in Apple Valley, CA, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Noon Wednesday, May 4, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with entombment following in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be private. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
