Robert Coleman Berry, 80, of 1930 E. 21st. St., Owensboro, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2007 at Owensboro Medical Health System after a long and valiant battle with cancer. He was born on August 27, 1927 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late William Lucian and Clara Coleman Berry. Bob Red Berry was retired from the United States Postal Service and from Ellis Park. He was a U. S. Navy veteran who served with honor in the South Pacific from 1945-1946. He was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. He left this world as he lived in it, conscious of God, fearless of death, and at peace, surrounded by loving family through whom his legacy will survive. He also positively influenced many young men through his long association with the Boy Scouts of America. He will be missed by all that knew him for his love of life, love of family, and for his sage guidance and counsel. The stories of his many hunting and fishing adventures will also be missed by his fellow outdoorsmen, but will endure through others. He was preceded in death by a brother, William L. Berry, and a sister, Virginia Rose Bishop.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Margaret Eubank Berry. Other survivors include his sons, Nick Berry and wife Tonia, Mark Berry and wife Jill, a daughter, Lee Whittington, grandchildren, Brandy Berry, Jaclyn Berry, Jessica Berry, Jason Berry and wife Elainna, Jamie Holeman, Robert Whittington, Lauren Berry, and Jacob Berry, great grandchildren, Jonas Berry, Chloe Berry, Chase Holeman, and Caitlin Holeman.
