Robert Sheldon Baird

Robert "Robbie" Sheldon Baird, 42, of Owensboro died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Owensboro to Murlin and Bonnie (Burden) Baird, February 19, 1969. Robert was retired from RWRA, and of the Baptist faith. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, member of NRA, and collected knives and guns. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family. His mother Bonnie Baird preceded him in death in 2003.
Surviving are his children, Robert Baird, and Jessica (Alan) Slaton, his father, Murlin Baird, all of Owensboro, grandchildren, Braylee Slaton and Benjamin Baird, three sisters, Darla (Keith) Brown of Bee Spring, Ky., Dana (David) Beazley of Ashland City, TN., and Kami Payne of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev Farrell Isenberg officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
