Robert Curtis Alsup, Jr., 80, of Owensboro, passed away on October 14, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Logan County,KY to the late Robert C. Alsup, Sr. and Annie Pearl (Thomas) Alsup.
Curtis was employed by the City of Owensboro for 20 years and was a member of Cross Pointe Baptist Church. He enjoyed bus trips with Golden Partners senior group. Curtis loved collecting old Western movies and toy cars and trucks.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Elsie Conder and Mildred Carlisle; brothers, James, Joe, Robert Earl and Raymond "Sonny" Alsup.
Curtis is survived by eight sisters, Mary Henderson, Viola Manley, both of Owensboro, Margaret Grace of Clio, Michigan, Linda Redd, Bonnie Willis, Connie Kasinger, all of Owensboro, Dorothy Parks of Philpot, and Ruth Goodwin of Kennesaw, Georgia; a brother, Billy Ray Alsup of Dalton , Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at Noon on Wednesday, October 17 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Farrell Isenberg will officiate. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
