Robert Earl Allen

Robert Earl Allen, 71, of 1740 Epworth Lane, Owensboro, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 26, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born October 4, 1934 to the late John William and Bernice Davis Allen in Manchester, OH. He retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 34 years of service. He was a Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, enjoyed rabbit hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Allen in June 4, 2000.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jeanie Allen; children, Vicki McDaniel and her husband, Joseph of Owensboro, Jan Payne of Philpot, LaDonna Smith and her husband, Randy, William Allen, Greg Allen and his wife, Kathleen, John Allen and his wife, Tonya, all of Owensboro, Karen Yeckering and her husband, Todd of Milwood, KY, Larry Allen and his wife, Tess of Owensboro; twenty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with visitation from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 319 West 10th Street, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
