Rita Ann Russell

Rita Russell, 60, of Owensboro, died Saturday, August 06, 2005, at her home after a brave battle with cancer. She was born February 18, 1945, to the late Cosmas and Helen Russelburg Clark in Daviess County. She was a member of Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing and playing the guitar for mass, doing crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. Rita was also an in-home caregiver for the elderly. She was loved by all who came in contact with her.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Barr, who died September 25, 1989.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Jim Russell; one daughter, Kim Dever and her husband, Eric of Owensboro; two sons, Cliff Russell and his wife, Suzanne, of Owensboro, Chris Russell and his wife, Sonja of New Albany, IN; eight grandchildren, Kelly and Drew Dever, Sarah, Morgan and Nicholas Russell, Liberty, Joshua and Jacob Russell; seven brothers, Justin Clark and his wife, Minnie of Philpot, Jamie Clark and his wife, Peggy of Whitesville, Kenny Clark and his wife, Angie , Joe Clark and his wife, Mary Jane, Cliff Clark and his wife, Brenda, Frank Clark, all of Owensboro, Curt Clark and his wife, Eileen of Channahon, IL; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Sts. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home, with prayers at 6:30 PM. Visitation will be after 8:30 AM on Tuesday.
