Rita Darlene B. Morton

Rita Darlene B. Morton, 55, of 315 Dieterle Dr. North, Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Ohio Co., Ky. and had worked at Green River Comprehensive Care and was a Licensed Practical Nurse at several nursing homes. She was a member of the Anointed Church of The Living God, was on the council for the Owensboro Housing Authority, and was a youth Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mayo Morton in 1986 and by a sister, Bonnie Bennett and 3 brothers.

Surviving is a son, Ryan Morton of Owensboro, three daughters, Christonyia Hardison of Hampstead, N.C., and Juanita Tiger Morton & Linda Graddick, both of Chicago, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, three brothers, Kenneth Bartlett of Owensboro, Roy Bartlett of Hartford, Ky., and Otis Ray Bartlett of Beaver Dam, seven sisters, Ova Rhoades, Catherine Davis, Ethel Rhoades, Mattye Shelton, and Lola Mae Goodman, all of Owensboro, Cova Rogers of Flat Rock, In., and Ernestine Evans of Hartford, and several nieces & nephews.

Services will be at 11:30 A.M. Friday, September 17, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
