Rick E. Pope

Rick E. Pope, 51, of 524 Ewing Court, passed away, Saturday, September, 22, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mr. Pope had worked at Kroger for over 35 years. He loved to laugh and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed feeding and playing with the cats at the humane society and watching the birds around the bird feeder outside his window. Mr. Pope was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Pope, in 1992.

Survivors include his life companion of 30 years, Kenny Simmons; his mother, Lois Chamblee Pope of Owensboro; a brother, Darryl Pope of Marietta, GA; two sisters, Donna Gregory and Connie Faye Moorman both of Owensboro; his nieces and nephews, Keith Gregory, Sarah Gregory, Quincy Moorman, Rachel Mattingly, Nick Moorman, Miranda Pope and Chelsea Pope; and his great nieces and nephews, Mia Moorman, Maxwell Moorman, Sophie Moorman and Collier Higgs.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Humane Society.
