Richard Arnold Smith

Richard, A. Dick Smith, 65, of 3637 Bordeaux Loop North, Owensboro, Died Friday, September 12, 2003 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was employed by General Electric Corporation in Syracuse, New York, and transferred to G.E. in Owensboro, where he retired from M.P.D. as a supervisor, after 40 years. He enjoyed using his home computer, and keeping in touch with family and friends with it. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Ann Smith, September 26, 1999. He is survived by two sons, S. Harry Smith, and Neil Smith, both of Covington, Kentucky, and a daughter, Julie Westerfield and son-in-law, Matt Westerfield, of Owensboro, his companion, Betty Dickens of Owensboro, and two grandsons, Cole and Mason Westerfield of Owensboro, and a sister, Helena Kilgore of St. Johnsville, New York. A memorial service for Mr. Smith will be held Monday, September 15, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with a gathering of family and friends following the ceremony.
