Richard Eugene Shelton

Richard Eugene Shelton, 59, of Owensboro passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Owensboro on January 8, 1953, he had operated Gene Shelton's Body Shop; was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church; and was a 1971 graduate of Owensboro High School. A gifted musician, Mr. Shelton was a wonderful guitarist. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene M. Shelton in 1981.

Surviving is his wife, Sandra Sue Corbett Shelton; his mother and step-father, Patsy Roberts Shelton Kincaid and Forrest Kincaid; a sister, Cynthia Campbell; and a nephew, Matthew Gene Campbell.

Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. T.A. Prickett officiating followed by entombment in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and 9 a.m. on Thursday.
