Richard L. Logsdon

Richard L. Logsdon, 83, of 2308 Ben Ali Ct., Owensboro, passed away on Saturday March 14, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late John and Vina Adams Logsdon. He was retired from the Messenger-Inquirer as a photographer and also had been a real estate agent for Laswell Gallery of Homes. He was a member of Third Baptist Church and former member of the Civitans. He did wedding photography, was a Ky. Colonel, enjoyed golfing, and playing bridge where he had participated in many bridge tournaments. He was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and had recently received his Life Master Certificate in 2003. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Logsdon on April 24, 1996.


Surviving is his daughter, Melanie Whistle and husband Duane of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Brooke Beals, Brennah Beals, and Brandon Whistle, all of Owensboro, two great grandchildren, Brylee Beals and Jaxon Jennings, and nieces and nephews, Jane Martin of Owensboro, Marsha Rwe of Cincinnati, OH, and John Logsdon of Washington, D. C..

Services will be 12 Noon Tuesday, March 17 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
