Richard William Grinker

Richard W. Grinker, 79, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Grinker was born August 30, 1936 in Washington, Missouri to the late John and Nelle Bakula Grinker. After graduating with a degree as an Electrical Engineer, he moved to Owensboro where he worked for GE until retirement. Richard was very independent but served others also. Even in his later years, he mowed the lawns of his neighbors who were unable to do so.

Survivors include his sister, Eleanor Grinker of Washington, Missouri; brothers, John H. Grinker (also of Washington) and Eugene J. Grinker and wife Loretta of Union, Missouri; several cousins and many friends.

The service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 13 at Immaculate Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Jones conducting the funeral mass. Visitation will also be Wednesday from 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Immaculate Catholic Church.
