Rexie L. Curtis

Rexie Curtis, 83, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Hermitage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late LeRoy & Jessie Wiggins Acuff. She had worked as a caregiver at the Wendell Foster Center where she loved helping the residents and also had worked at Glenmore Distillaries. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Martin Curtis, Sr. on Jan. 20, 1986, two sons, Kenneth Ray Pete Curtis in 1982, and Richard Thomas Tommy Curtis in 1985, and a daughter, Donna Jane Curtis in 1970.

Surviving are three sons, William Lee Billy Curtis, Virgil Martin Bugs Curtis, Jr., and James Marvin Jimmy Curtis, all of Owensboro, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 21, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
