Rex L. Hatfield

Rex L. Hatfield, 78, of Owensboro, died on June 17, 2014. He was born in McLean County on November 2, 1935 as the 4th child to the late George and Pearl Goodwin Hatfield. Rex was a Military Police Officer in the Marine Corps. He enjoyed mechanics, construction work, helping others, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Rex was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Hatfield and a sister Sue Penrod.

Survivors include his loving wife, Ivy; nine children, Larry (Debbie), Terry (Eva), Phillip, Michael (Tammy), Megan, Keri (Brian) Williamson, Ashley (Susie), stepson Dale (Allison) Case, and his special daughter Stephanie; grandchildren, Larry Jr., Amy, Emily, Krystal, Amanda, Shannon, Jordan, Daryon, Randi, Chad, Lillian, Dominick, Petyon, Seth, Jennie, Jason, Jeff; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George and Rev. Arthur Dean Hatfield.

Services will be at 1pm on Thursday June 19, 2014 at the chapel at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Anthony Cobb will officiate. Burial will be Rose Hill cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm on Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family of Rex L. Hatfield. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
