Regina Whitworth Duncan

November 20, 1930 — February 15, 2016

Regina Whitworth Duncan, 85, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016, at Heartland Villa in Lewisport. She was born November 20, 1930 in Breckenridge Co. to the late Willie and Mildred Glasscock Whitworth. Regina retired in 1993 after 44 years with the General Electric Co. and M.P.D., Inc. Regina and her husband were big supporters of Kentucky Wesleyan College and their basketball program for many years. She was a member of the All-American Club, attended most all of the basketball games and rode the Panther Express for many years. She also loved raising flowers and working in her many flower beds. Regina enjoyed cooking with her husband especially baking fresh coconut cakes and zucchini bread.

Regina was also preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Church and two sisters, Evelyn Harris and Mary Bailey

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, James Lloyd Duncan, two sons, James Michael Duncan and wife Darlene of Whitesville and Barry Lloyd Duncan and wife Marie of Owensboro, two daughters, Sharon Renee Church and Dyanne Baker and husband Levi of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Jamie Duncan and wife Stephanie of Newburgh, IN, Casey Church of Hillsboro, N.H., and Stephanie Matthews of Charlotte, N.C., six great grandchildren, Carson, Bruce, and Ace Duncan, Shawn Duncan, Kelsea Matthews, and Julia Rose Marinaro, several great great grandchildren, a brother, Billy Whitworth and wife Nancy of Utica, three sisters, Sue Baggarly and Lois Ann Clayton, both of Owensboro, and Naomi Oates of Florida, and seven nieces, four nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 19, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 8:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at Heartland Villa for the love and compassionate care they gave Regina while she was there.
