Reggie Shanks

Reggie Shanks, 52, of Owensboro, died Sunday, September 26, 2010, at the Midwestern Regional Medical Center, in Zion, IL. He was born January 27, 1958 to Robert and Helen Nall Shanks in Hopkins County. He was Director of Gas Storage at Texas Gas, where he had worked for 27 years. He attended Owensboro Christian Church, was a board member of Kentucky Oil and Gas Association, and a member of the Sacramento Lions Club. He was an Alumni of Western Kentucky University and was an avid hunter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shanks, and a brother, Ronnie Shanks.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Paula Simmons Shanks of Owensboro; his daughter, Rebekah Shanks of Owensboro, and his mother, Helen Shanks of Sacramento; two brothers, Robbie Shanks and his wife, Cindy of Owensboro, and his twin brother, Randy Shanks of Sacramento.

Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
