Rebecca Sue Taylor Wingfield

Rebecca Sue Taylor Wingfield, 65, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026, at her home while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born on November 27, 1960, in Owensboro, to the late Leon Louis Taylor and Mertie Lee Pennington Taylor.

Rebecca previously worked as a secretary for a law firm, was employed at Lincoln Professional Services, and also as a homemaker taking care of and raising her family. She also enjoyed reading, working in her garden, planting her beautiful flowers, and spending time with her dog, Oliver.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Randy Barton.

Rebecca is survived by her husband of 15 years, Ron Wingfield; her children, Chris Taylor , Wendy (David) Ford, Brad (Britney) Barton, Corey Midkiff, Cody Midkiff, and Cameron Midkiff; grandchildren, Courtney (Brandon) Huckelby, Peyton Taylor, and Weston Barnett; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Bobby (Pam) Taylor, Randy Taylor, and Sandy (Terry) Ferguson; several nieces and nephews, and her dear four-legged companion, Oliver.

The graveside service for Rebecca will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026, in Elmwood Cemetery.
