Rebecca Ruth Riney

Rebecca Ruth "Becky" Riney, 67, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Tom and Mable Hall Morton. She was a very devout Catholic and member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and was retired from the office of the Owensboro Catholic School System. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed spending a lot of time with all her family. She also enjoyed sewing and all types of needlework. She formerly was on the boards of the Catholic School System and at St. Alphonsus Church.

Surviving is her husband of 46 years, David Riney, a daughter, Holly Conkright and husband Corey of Owensboro, four sons, David Riney, Jr. and wife Donna, Todd Riney, Kevin Riney and wife Susan, and Mark Riney and wife Liane, all of Owensboro, 13 grandchildren, Evan, Erin, Hannah, Olivia, Murphy, London, Cole, Anna, Blair, Kathryn, and Emma Riney, and Camille and Caden Conkright, two sisters, Nancy Logsdon and Patsy O'Bryan, both of Owensboro, five brothers, Billy and Phillip Morton, both of Owensboro, Tommy Morton of Hartford, Mike Morton of Madisonville, and David Morton of Clarksville, Tn., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12:00 Noon Monday, October 27, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with burial following in St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
