Rebecca Jane Stockton Kinsey, 74, of Owensboro, passed away March 24, 2017 at home. She was born in Evansville, IN on January 24, 1943 to the late John E. and Louise Stockton. Rebecca graduated from Central High School and then earned a two-year degree from Austin Peay State University. She worked at United Refrigeration (formerly AC&H Supply) for over 25 years alongside her late husband, Dave. Rebecca was a long-time St. Louis Cardinals fan! She was also a founding member of Owensboro Herb Society and the Bells of Ireland garden club. Rebecca was an active member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church where she was in the Mary Lou Phillips Adult Class and the Potter's Clay Gal's prayer group. Rebecca also enjoyed being a member of Southern Belles Homemakers in Owensboro. Rebecca is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 46 years, Dave Kinsey; sister, Mary Waller; brothers, Eddie Stockton and David Stockton.
Rebecca is survived by her son, Daren Kinsey; grandchildren, Erin Kinsey, Morgan Kinsey, and Adysen Kinsey; brothers, Joseph "Frank" (Charlotte) Stockton, Bud (Arleen) Stockton and Mark (Lorie) Stockton; nieces, Kelli Goedde, Lisa Loehr, Anna Wadlington, Karen Stockton, Misty Carrick, Mendy Hawthorne, Meredith Stockton and Maddie Petersohn; nephews, Jackie Waller, Rick Waller, Tommy Waller, Andrew Waller, Randy Waller, Charlie Stockton, Eric Stockton, Nick Epley and Jimmy Epley.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church in Owensboro. Visitation will be 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, at the church.
