Raymond Lee Mills

Raymond Lee Mills, 89, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Philpot on August 1, 1923, he was the son of the late James Henry and Bertie Lee Nantz Mills; was retired from W.R. Grace and was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea. He was also a 50-year member of Lodge 130 F&AM. Mr. Mills enjoyed gardening and loved to go fishing at Carpenter's Lake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Wanedith Cox Mills in 2000; brothers, James Leonard Mills and Robert Mills; and a sister, Mildred Wilson.

Surviving is a daughter; Theresa Ann Mills of Owensboro and nieces and nephews.

Services are 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jerry Lambrich officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
