Raymond Kassinger

June 7, 1922 — December 10, 2002

Raymond Kassinger, 80, of 411 West Parrish Ave., Owensboro, died Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The McLean County native was retired owner and operator of the Southtown BP Station and U-Haul Rental. He was a member of the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church; was an avid sports fan, especially of UK and the Atlanta Braves; and was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Alice Dever Kassinger; four sons, Ray Kassinger of Lilburn, Ga., Randy Kassinger of London, KY, Keith Wilkerson of Owenbsoro, and Kevin Wilkerson of Smith Mills, KY; two daughters, Pat Allen and Kelly Hillard both of Owensboro; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wilbur Hardison of Owensboro.

Funeral services are 10 A.M. Friday, December 13, 2002 at Walnut Memorial Baptist Church with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 4-8 P.M. on Thursday and after 9 A.M. on Friday at the church.

Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of donations to the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church.
