Raymond Allen Jackson

Raymond Stony Jackson, 79, of Walnut Park Drive, Owensboro, KY, died Tuesday, August 11, 2003, at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born August 28, 1923, to Courtney and Bessie Mann Jackson, in Daviess County. He retired after 22 years, as a Captain of the Owensboro Fire Department, he was a Army veteran of WW II and a recipient of a Purple Heart. After his retirement he worked with Roby Vending and Amusement Co.
His wife, Theda Kitchens Jackson, died in 1979.
Survivors include, one brother, James Jackson, of Louisville, one sister, Lois Rutigliano, of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens, visitation will be from 5:00 till 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owensboro Fire Department, 512 West Ninth Street, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
