Raymond Dell Guier

Raymond Dell Guier, 98, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born November 10, 1916 in Calloway Co., KY to the late Terry P. and Lillie Wade Guier. Mr. Guier was retired as Director of Purchasing at the former Mercy Hospital and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed raising a garden and working in his yard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Guier on November 22, 2006, four brothers, Barney, Hilson, Morris, and Harry Guier, and a sister, Sue James.

Surviving are his daughter, Kay Roby and husband Bill of Whitesville, a son, David Guier and wife Sue of McKinney, TX, four grandchildren, Shawn (Shelly) Libs of Owensboro, Kelly (Rich) Gammon of Whitesville, Daniel (Leslie) Guier of Sugar Land, TX, and Aaron Guier of Houston, TX, several great grandchildren including, Jordan and Jacob Howard, both of Whitesville, Corey and Logan Mullinax of South Carolina, and Skyler Davis of Owensboro, and a brother, Kenneth (Marilyn) Guier of Ballwin, MO.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 26, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
