Randall O. Shutt, 87, of 5662 Lane Rd., Owensboro, passed away on Monday, June 18, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in McLean Co., Ky. to the late Clark & Sudie Mackey Shutt. He was retired as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #1701 and worked at Dynaelectric Co. He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed talking on the C.B. with his friends, fishing, feeding the birds, gardening, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Randall W. Shutt on July 11, 2006.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Virginia Shutt, a son and his wife, Michael and Kenna Shutt of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Tammy Russell and husband Mike of Seattle, Wa., Amy Hein and husband Jon of Lexington, Ky., Jasen London of Owensboro, Mandy Cordero and husband Angel of Pt. St. Lucie, Fla., and Nathan Shutt and wife Audra of Owensboro, nine great grandchildren, and a brother, Bill Durbin of Detroit, Mi.
Services will be 2:30 P.M. Thursday, June 21, at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 4730 Pleasant Grove Church Rd., Owensboro, Ky. 42303.
