Ralph Peter Watts

March 10, 1940 — January 13, 2005

Ralph Peter Watts, 64, of Masonville, went to his heavenly home, Thursday, January 13, 2005 after a long battle with diabetes. Born in Catskill, NY on March 10, 1940, he retired from Boilermaker Local 40 after 25 years service and was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam, Germany and France. Mr. Watts was a member of the American Legion, VFW Post 696; Ensor Masonic Lodge F&AM 729; York Rite Legion of Honor of Madisonville; Eastern Star; the Madisonville Rizaph Shrine; was a Shrine clown and Hillbilly; and was a Kentucky Colonel. He was an avid automobile and motorcycle enthusiast and in his healthier years loved to travel and go to car shows. He also loved flea marketing.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Linda Conley Watts; three sons, Ralph Hoyte McDaniels of Tuscon, AZ, Ralph Peter Severson of New Albany, IN, and Richard Allen Severson of Louisville; three daughters, Marilyn Jane Nation of Serria Vista, AZ, Marla Jean Francis of Grants Pass, OR, and Angela Renee Jannace of New York; two step-children, Frank Gillim III of Philpot and Jeana Clater of Masonville; 20 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 1 P.M. Monday, January 17, 2005 at Christ Chapel, Owensboro Memorial Gardens with burial the Field of Honor. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post 696. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 1-6 P.M. Sunday, January 16, with Masonic Rites at 5 P.M. and after 10 A.M. on Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Joseph Indian Mission.
