Ralph Mansfield

Ralph Mansfield, 88, of 2746 Fairview Drive, Owensboro, died Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Mr. Mansfield was born in New Madrid, Missouri to the late Robert and Bessie (Ward) Mansfield. He retired from Ideal Milk Company and later enjoyed doing woodworking, framing and stained glass restoration for his son, Eddie. He was a veteran of the Civil Conservation Corps, and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Margaret Bumm Mansfield, and six siblings.

Mr. Mansfield is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mildred ( Gray ) Mansfield, three sons, Eddie Mansfield of Destin, FL., Wayne Mansfield of Colorado Springs, CO., and Larry Mansfield of Princeton, KY., a sister Ioma Evans of Owensboro, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March, 1, 2006 in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, and expressed online at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
