Raleigh Gerald Dewitt, 75, of Harborside Manor, died Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Mr. Dewitt was a farmer and a member of The Salvation Army Church, The Salvation Army Mens Club and The Salvation Army Senior Citizens Keenagers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrle Lee Crowe Dewitt, a step-son, Major Larry G. Tanner, four sisters, Kathleen Parker, Margaret Helen Johnson, Frances Fuqua, and Thelma Marianes and a brother, Leonard Dewitt.

Survivors include a step-son, Allen Tanner and his wife Betty of Owensboro; step-daughters, Martha Jones and her husband Keith of Nashville, Mary Miller and her husband Vincent, and Kay Bramschreiber and her husband R.D. all of Owensboro; 11 step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Friday, September 14, at 2 p.m. in the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday and after 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
