Rae Vivian Emrich Taylor

Rae Vivian Emrich Taylor, 96, formerly of 6525 Kentucky 762, Philpot, died Thursday, February 13, 2003 at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miller Haynes Taylor in 1990, her son, Don Miller Taylor in 1936, and a granddaughter, Lee Ann Lashbrook, in 1962.

The Philpot native was a partner with her husband in the M. H. Taylor General Merchandise Store in Habit, was the oldest member of Bethabara Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school for 65 years and was active in WMU, Daviess County Homemakers and Habit Quilters

Survivors include her daughter, Norma Virginia Lashbrook of Philpot, four grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.

Services are at Bethabara Baptist Church Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 Saturday at the funeral home and after 1 Sunday at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Bethabara Baptist Church or the Oneida Baptist Institute.
