Rachel Burns Blanton

Rachel Burns Blanton, 48, formerly of Owenbsoro, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, in Tampa, Fl. The Daviess County native was a dental hygienist in Lakeland, FL; a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church; and was active in childrens choir and Sunday School. She was a graduate of Daviess County High School and the University of Kentucky. She moved to Florida in 1976 following her graduation from UK. She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Burns in April, 2003.

She is survived by her husband, William Bill Blanton; a daughter Elizabeth Nicole Blanton of Brandon FL; her mother, Katherine Burns of Owenbsoro; a brother, John Burns of Owensboro; two sisters, Marla Bourne of Douglas, GA and Kathy Benz of Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services are 11 A.M. Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Bell Shoals Baptist Church with burial in Serenity Meadows Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Friday, May 23 at the Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd., Riverview, FL.
