Queenie Roberts Green

Queenie Roberts Green, 62, of Sorgho, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a member of the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. She worked for 28 years as a Nurse Assistant at the Mercy Hospital and until 2001 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Joseph F. Green; a daughter, Jennifer Nicole Green of Sorgho; a step-daughter, Mary Beth Edge of Owensboro; five step-sons, Steve Green and Chris Green both of Sorgho, Jeff Green of Utica, Mike Green of Owensboro, and David Green, of Delaware ; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Haywood of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 10 A.M. Saturday, April 26, 2003 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 4-8 P.M. on Friday, April 25, 2003 and after 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2003. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 6:30 P.M. on Friday evening.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church Building Fund.
